1. State your research question. Make sure the variables you are interested in investigating are clearly stated. Having trouble coming up with a research question? Start with a personality characteristic and think about what behaviors might be associated with them (e.g., extraversion and social media use; self-esteem and job satisfaction).  2. Explain a correlational design that you would use to test your research question. Make sure to 1) operationalize your variables, and 2) state your specific hypothesis.  3.Then, modify your design to an experiment or quasi-experiment. Describe what changed between your two designs and explain if your new design would allow you to draw causal claims.
