I do not mind the use of outside sources to help you understand the poem/story. However, if you use outside sources, websites, books, etc., that address the content of the readings in this Module, please use quotes to show how/where you used the sources in your response. Plagiarism of outside content/ideas will result in a zero (0) for the initial post. Please respond to one of the following prompts for this discussion board:

1) Using characteristics of Modernism perform an analysis that discusses textual evidence through one or two movement characteristics. In other words, discuss why the writings of Joyce or Williams should be considered “modernist” by evaluating the text through elements (characteristics) of the movement. Use textual evidence to support your interpretation in the form of a direct quote from the text and provide analysis of how the evidence supports your claim (the way the text fits the movement).

PLEASE NOTE for Prompt #3: You must replicate the template given in the Literary Analysis excerpt (48-49) once, and only once, in your response. (Maybe as the topic sentence, but it can be placed anywhere in your response.) If you do not include the template, you will receive half-credit for the initial post.

4) Using the opposites interpretative strategy, argue a deeper meaning within the Modernism module: Joyce or Williams. Also, use correct MLA for source integration.
