You may want to look up concepts from lecture and the textbook that go along with your Aging Topic and ask specific questions that will help you learn more about how those concepts have affected the person you are interviewing.

Explain to your subjects that their privacy will be protected and you will not use their real names. If your topic concerns Alzheimer’s or dementia, DO NOT interview the person suffering from that ailment. Adults with cognitive impairment (Alzheimer’s, dementia, etc..) are considered a vulnerable population and cannot take part in a research interview. If this is the case for your topic, you should plan on interviewing a family member of, or caregiver for, that person.
- The interview must consist of at least 10 questions. As you go through the interview process, feel free to ask follow-up questions to clarify responses and to gain additional information. Be sensitive to the needs and experiences of the person you are interviewing. A typed transcript of the interview questions and answers must be included.
A 2 page paper (minimum) connecting the interview to the course including the following requirements:
